Transportation is provided to Magnet students who live more than five miles from school.  Riding a school bus is a privilege and a responsibility. The bus is an extension of Holmes Middle School; therefore, all school and District rules and guidelines apply to students while they are on the bus.  A student should carry a valid school bus pass or current school ID to board a school bus. 

 

Students enrolled at Holmes Middle School may apply for an MTA Student Identification Card. With the purchase of a monthly stamp, the student can obtain considerable savings over individual payment of bus fares. Applications are available online from the Transportation Services Division on the LAUSD website at http://achieve.lausd.net/Page/3827 or from the MTA website at http://www.metro.net/riding/fares/students-k-8-and-9-12/. Make sure all sections of the application are completed, i.e., the student information section, social security number, parent and school official signatures.
