All
campus visitors must have the
consent and approval of the
principal/designee.
Children who are not enrolled at the
school are not to be on campus
unless prior approval of the
principal/designee has been
obtained.
Administrator's Authority
Adults and minors over 16 years of
age who enter a school campus and
fail to adhere to the posted
"Visitor's Policy" or who defy the
principal/designee's authority may
be reported to the appropriate
police agency and may be subject to
criminal charges under the
California Penal Code (Sec. 626.7,
626.8), the City of Los Angeles
Municipal Code (Sec. 63.94) and/or
the Education Code (44810 [a], 44811
[a]).
Rules for Campus Visitors
Whenever possible, request an
appointment ahead of time by
telephoning the Counseling Office
Staff for a visitation date and
time.
Upon arrival at school, report
directly to the Main Office.
Obtain a visitor's permit by signing
the visitor's sheet. This requires
obtaining the principal/designee's
approval before proceeding to the
Counseling Office, or activity you
wish to observe.
Please keep the classroom
observation time and frequency
reasonable. (See
Bell Schedule)
To visit a classroom, please notify
and obtain the classroom schedule
from the student's counselor, in the
Counseling Office.
After visiting the classroom, if you
wish to schedule an appointment with
the teacher(s) and/or the Counselor,
please see the Counseling Office
Staff.
Before leaving campus, return the
visitor's permit to the main office.
Some important rules for visitors:
Enter and leave the classroom as
quietly as possible.
Do not converse with the students,
teachers, or instructional aides
during visitation.
Do not interfere with school
activity during the visitation.
