Hello Holmes Families,
We are excited as we prepare to distribute the VILS iPads to the families that have completed the requirements. By the end of the month, we will complete the transition to iPads and all students will need to have an iPad for school-use. Any student that currently has a school-issued Chromebook and/or hotspot will need to return the devices in exchange for an iPad. The iPads we are distributing are the 7th generation, 32GB with 30GB of LTE internet service each month with a wired keyboard.
All students will need to have access to an iPad to complete assignments that are done through iPads and to have access to specific apps used on the iPads. If you are unsure if you need an iPad, complete this questionnaire: Do You Need an iPad Questionnaire? If you don’t need one, please email me to let me know so I can take you off the list.
If you need an iPad, you can access the online forms, Parent Digital Citizenship course and Student Digital Citizenship course, go to https://sites.google.com/lausd.net/holmesms-students/home. This site also includes Rollout information and slide deck presentations for iPad use.
Here are the required items:

To determine which items need completion, email [email protected]. When you have completed all of these forms and video courses, email Ms. Cao to schedule your Rollout date.
