Health Excuses

Students are expected to dress for physical education class every day. Only a doctor may excuse a student from dressing.  Only a doctor may excuse a student from participating in PE for more than 5 days.  In the event that a student needs a health excuse, the following procedures should be followed: 1) a written note from a parent/guardian or doctor must be presented to the school nurse before Advisory; and 2) the school nurse will issue a school authorized “Health Office Referral” form to the student who will in turn take this form to his/her physical education teacher.  Please note:  the school nurse CANNOT accept emailed health excuses.  Students are still responsible for completing all classwork/homework assignments while on a health excuse.
